Documentaries for everyone // On Netflix

I've made a list of documentaries based on interests and of course my own liking. All available on Netflix US or UK and if you don't have Netflix US or UK, you can read about how to get it right here. One of them is only available on Netflix DK. Happy reading!

//Nature and Environment

Blackfish - A shocking insight in the giant Sea World franchise. You'll never visit Sea World again after seeing this one unless you're pretty cynical. Find it here.

BBC Nature - Almost all of the BBC Nature documentaries are mind blowing beautiful and educational at the same time. Some of my favorites are "Planet Earth" (here, UK only), "The Blue Planet" (here), "Life" (here, UK only) and my all time favorite "Human Planet" (here, UK only).

Turtle: The Incredible Journey - Tells the story of a cute baby turtle and it's journey across the oceans and also it's struggles to become an adult turtle. Find it here.

The Cove - Requires real balls of steel. A sad story about the mass killings of dolphins in Japan. Find it here, DK only.

//Hipsters and 1337

Indie Game: The Movie - Insight in the progress of making and publishing an indie game. I haven't seen it yet, but it's for sure on top of my list. Find it here.

Exit Through The Gift Shop - A documentary about underground street art and Banksy, without Banksy of course. Find it here.

Reincarnated - It's not that good, but it's somewhat fun to follow Snoop Dogg in his journey of becoming Snoop Lion. Find it here.

Bobby Fischer Against The World - A documentary about world chess champion Bobby Fischer and the dark side of his life and fame. Find it here, UK only.

//Fitness and health

Hungry for Change - The truth about diets and the food industry in general. Find it here.

Pumping Iron - A portrait of a 28-year-old Arnold Schwarzenegger before he's about to compete for the sixth title "Mr Olympia". This one could also go in the category "Hipster". Find it here.

Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead - Two mens struggle to get their body back in shape after being extremely obese or on steroids. Find it here.

//Cultural  and Political

The Imposter - The story of a young boy who went missing from Texas and reappears in Spain three years later. Find it here.

The Act of Killing - It's gooood! Two former Indonesian death squad leaders tries to reconstruct some of the mass killings they've ordered. It's a very sad and troubling documentary and, FYI, it's a danish production. Find it here.

Pina - Tribute to the Choreographer Pina Bausch by Wim Wenders. Very, very beautiful and moving pictures. Find it here.

Jiro Dreams of Sushi - The story of 85-year-old sushi master Jiro and his legacy, a famous high end sushi restaurant in Tokyo. It offers more depth that you would expect. Find it here.

That's it from me today.
